Two arrested following drug investigation in Milford

Two people were arrested after Kosciusko County's NET 43 narcotics unit served a search warrant at a home in Milford, according to the Kosciusko County Sheriff's Office.

After conducting a covert operation, deputies served a search warrant at a home on Turkey Creek Drive in Milford on May 9.

Inside the home they located two adults, 38-year-old Eric McFarland and 29-year-old Whitney Schwab, as well as two children.

The children were placed in protective custody with the Indiana Department of Child Services.

During the search warrant, investigators seized a stolen firearm, paraphernalia and methamphetamine, according to the sheriff's office.

McFarland was taken into custody on preliminary charges of:

  • Dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 felony)
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Maintaining a common nuisance
  • Unlawful possession of a handgun by a serious violent felon
  • Theft

Schwab was taken into custody on preliminary charges of:

  • Dealing methamphetamine (Level 2 felony)
  • Possession of methamphetamine
  • Maintaining a common nuisance
  • 2 counts of neglect of a dependent
