Two arrested on drug, theft charges during traffic stop
GOSHEN, Ind. – Two people were arrested on Monday on drug and theft charges during a traffic stop, the Goshen Police Department reported.
On Monday, officers performed a traffic stop near the intersection of Lincolnway East and College Avenue on a vehicle that matched the description of a vehicle involved in area catalytic converter thefts, according to reports.
During the traffic stop, officers found methamphetamine, paraphernalia, and a stolen handgun, police said.
Wiley Somers, 30, of South Bend, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine, possession of a handgun by a convicted felon, theft, and possession of paraphernalia.
Yolisdany Dominquez, 44, of Elkhart, was arrested for possession of methamphetamine and possession of paraphernalia.
Somers and Dominquez have not been arrested in connection to catalytic converter thefts.
Police are continuing to investigate the thefts.
