Two Berrien County roads will close to all thru traffic Nov. 21

ABC 57

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. -- Berrien County Road Department officials have announced that Log Cabin Road and Pardee Road in Weesaw Township will be closed starting on Thursday, for a culvert replacement at the Norris Lake Drain.

During the closure, which is expected to last six to eight weeks, no thru traffic will be permitted on Log Cabin Road between Kaiser Road and Warren Woods Road, and no thru traffic will be allowed on Pardee Road between Kaiser Road and Warren Woods Road.

"Both closures will now start the same day to facilitate prep work simultaneously by crews and equipment," road crews said. "The public are advised to seek alternative routes or follow the signed detour route until road has reopened to traffic."

Officials say the project will extend the life and operation of the Norris Lake Drain and that crosstube replacement will provide structural stability for the road and assure safety to the traveling public.
