Two-car accident sends one to hospital in Elkhart County
ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office reported on Sunday around 11:21 a.m. two cars were involved in an accident 2 miles south of New Paris, that resulted in one driver being transported to Goshen Hospital.
The department reported at around 11:21 a.m., authorities responded to an accident on SR 15 near CR 50 involving a 2012 Chevy Malibu and a 2016 Ford Escape.
The driver of the Malibu was driving behind the driver of the Escape south on SR 15, when the driver of the Chevy failed to notice the Ford had slowed and collided into the rear of the vehicle, stated the Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities reported the driver of the Malibu was a 39-year-old male of South Bend, and the driver of the Escape was a 33-year-old female of Goshen.
The driver of the Ford reported chest pain and was transported to Goshen Hospital, concluded the report.
