Two charged in connection to double murder

ST. JOSEPH CO., Ind. -- A St. Joseph County man, accused of killing his brother and sister-in-law appeared in court on Monday morning.

41-year-old Steven Clippinger is charged with murder and gun possession.

Police said he went into his brother's Mishawaka home on June 2, and shot and killed him in the driveway.

Then police said he chased his sister-in-law inside and killed her right in front of her kids.

On Monday, the judge set a Sept. 24 trial date.

Clippinger already served 20 years for killing a South Bend man.

Jenifer Leveque is also charged in connection with the murder. She is accused of driving Clippinger from the scene of the crimes. She is set to be in court on Tuesday.
