Two children reported missing have been found

The two children reported missing Tuesday afternoon have been located. They are safe.

The Elkhart Police Department asked for the public's help locating 10-year-old Melinda Lopez and 12-year-old Ricky Lopez after they left their residence on W. Hively Avenue without permission.

The children were last seen around 3 p.m. At 6:15 p.m. police announced the children had been found safe.
