Two finalists remain in the SBCSC superintendent search

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- One of the finalists for SBCSC superintendent has withdrawn from consideration.

On Friday afternoon, President Roger Parent released a statement saying that Eric King withdrew his application from further consideration for personal reasons.

Eric King was formerly a superintendent for Muncie Community Schools.

There are still two finalists in the running for the position.

Parent says they will proceed, as scheduled, with interviews this coming Wednesday and Thursday.  The two candidates will meet with parents, teachers, students, and local leaders, who will report on each person's strengths and weaknesses.
