Two Hoosiers involved in the Capitol riot received decisions

WASHINGTON, D.C, -- The first defendant to enter a guilty plea and the first defendant to be sentenced in connect to the Capitol riot of January 6 were both Hoosiers, a public affairs officer says.

The officer reports Jon Schaffer was the first defendant to enter a plea and Anna Lloyd was the first of more than 500 current defendants to be sentenced in connection to the Capitol riot.

Both Schaffer and Lloyd are residents of the Hoosier state, the officer says.

The FBI’s Washington Field Office has issued 11 new videos that show rioters assaulting federal officers on that day, the officer says.

The public has provided valuable assistance in identifying suspects of the riot for police and the FBI.
