Two injured in a car crash

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 12:38 p.m. on Tuesday for a three-vehicle crash at the intersection CR 17 and CR 142 which left two of the drivers injured.

Police say a driver travelling north on CR 17 was stopped at the intersection before driving into the path of another vehicle travelling west on CR 142.

After the two vehicles collided, the northbound vehicle crashed into another car that was stopped and facing south on CR 17, police say.

That southbound driver was transported to Goshen Hospital for neck pain.

The westbound driver was treated for minor injuries at the scene of the crash.

Police say the northbound driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way at the intersection.
