Two injured in multiple-vehicle Cass county crash

CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- Deputies responded to a two-car injury crash on Friday around 12 p.m. at the intersection of Ironwood Road and Redfield Street, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies say that two men, aged 23 and 22 were traveling east on Redfield Street at the time of the crash.

A 62-year-old and 63-year-old were turning left onto Redfield Street and allegedly struck the other vehicle, which spun off the road and hit a tree, according to officials.

Both the driver and passenger in the car that was hit were taken to South Bend Memorial Hospital for their injuries.

The occupants of the second vehicle were treated at the scene and released.

According to deputies, seatbelts were worn by all involved parties and alcohol was not a factor.
