SOUTH BEND, Ind.-- South Bend Police are investigating two separate, unrelated shootings that occurred late Sunday night and early Monday morning.
Officers responded to Memorial Hospital for reports of a shooting victim around 8:30 p.m. on Sunday night. A 23-year-old man was found to be suffering from a non-life threatening wound to the upper body.
The victim told police he was robbed in the area of the 1000 block of E. Ireland Road when he was shot.
A potential suspect was described as a white male last seen wearing a black hoodie, police said.
A second incident occurred around 1:10 a.m. on Monday morning in the 3700 block of Western
Officers in the area heard gunfire and were sent to the 400 block of S. Wellington.
At a home in that area, officers located two 23-year-old male victims with gunshot wound injuries to the upper body.
Both victims were taken to the hospital for treatment of their non-life threatening injuries.
The victims were injured after a suspect fired shots towards the home on S. Wellington, police said.
Both incidents remain under investigation by police. At this time, law enforcement officials do not believe the shootings were related.
