Two men injured from shooting in Middlebury

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. - The Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office says  deputies responded to the 52000 block of Oak Hills Drive in Middlebury, Sunday, just before 5:30 p.m. to a report of two people injured by gunfire.

Officials say an 18-year-old man and a 44-year-old man were transported to the hospital by ambulance for treatment of suspected gunshot injuries.

Authorities say the investigation is ongoing and that the preliminary investigation determined this was an isolated incident and is not a threat to the public.
