Two Mishawaka roads to close for construction Monday
MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Two well-traveled Mishawaka roads will close Monday for construction, according to the City of Mishawaka.
Officials say C&E Excavating will close Douglas Road between Fir and the Canadian National Railroad, west of Capital Avenue, for utility crossings to facilitate road improvements.
Traffic will be detoured to Cleveland Road.
Liberty Drive on the north and south sides of Jefferson Boulevard will also be closed. Jefferson Boulevard will remain open.
Planners say new traffic signals will be installed and replacements will be made to curbs, sidewalks, and ADA ramps at the intersection.
Douglas Road is expected to reopen on June 29 and the work on Liberty Drive will wrap up by July 6.
