Two people accused of possession of methamphetamine, maintaining a drug house in Dowagiac

CASS COUNTY, Mich. – An investigation by the Cass County Drug Enforcement Team led to the arrests of two people for charges including possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house, the Cass County Sheriff’s Office announced.

On Wednesday, detectives performed a search warrant on a residence in the 100 block of Haines Street in Dowagiac.

During the search, detectives located two people inside who were detained for questioning.

Inside the residence, detectives found a large amount of methamphetamine and methamphetamine paraphernalia and several firearms, according to reports.

A 38-year-old woman at the residence was arrested on the charges of possession of methamphetamine and maintaining a drug house.

A 62-year-old man at the residence was arrested for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine, felony firearm, possession of a silencer, maintaining a drug house, and outstanding warrants.

This is an ongoing investigation.
