Two people hospitalized after serious car crash in Elkhart County

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- Two people are recovering after a bad wreck in Elkhart County.
Twenty-one-year-old Greg Littlefield is in critical condition at Memorial Hospital. Littlefield, the driver, had to be airliftedn from the accident. The passenger, 28-year-old Tiffany Shellenbarger is in stable condition at Elkhart General.
Officers say they were heading down County Road 6 when they suddenly hit a mailbox, a trash can and then a tree.
Police believe icy conditions and speed were to blame.
