Two people shot in Elkhart Easter morning
ELKHART, Ind. – Two people were injured in a shooting in the 200 block of W. Marion Street Sunday morning, the Elkhart Police Department reported.
At 1:41 a.m., officers were called to the area for reports of an ongoing fight.
On scene, officers found a 29-year-old man on the second floor of the building with apparent gunshot wounds to the legs.
Officers rendered first aid until the victim could be taken to the hospital for treatment.
A 24-year-old man was found in the parking lot of the building with apparent gunshot wounds to the torso.
Officers rendered first aid until he was transported for treatment.
The investigation has been taken over by the Elkhart County Homicide Unit.
