Two seriously injured in crash on Lincoln Way East

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. - Two Elkhart men were seriously injured in a crash on Lincoln Way East Sunday night, according to the St. Joseph County Prosecutor's Office.

The men were injured when the vehicle they were in, a Chevrolet Monte Carlo, hit a curb and crashed into a retaining wall while traveling east on the road.

The driver of the vehicle was taken to the hospital for serious injuries and is currently in stable condition.

The only passenger in the vehicle was taken to the hospital for life-threatening injuries.

Toxicology reports are pending, according to officials.

Per protocol, the St. Joseph County Fatal Crash Team continues to investigate the crash.
