Two teen girls arrested at Northside Middle School in separate incidents

ELKHART, Ind. -- Two teen girls were arrested at North Side Middle School on Tuesday in two separate incidents.

At 10 a.m., an officer responded to the school for reports of a fight that had just happened.

An employee told police two girls had been involved in a fight and one girl punched the other, reports said.

A 13-year-old was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on preliminary charges of disorderly conduct.

In the second incident, around noon, an officer was dispatched to the school for reports a girl struck a male student.

The 14-year-old girl was taken to the Juvenile Detention Center on a preliminary charge of battery.
