ABC 57

FULTON COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana State Police reports troopers along with deputies with the Fulton County Sheriff's Office responded to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on S.R. 114 near C.R. 1600 East around 9:40 p.m. Sunday.

The preliminary investigation determined 18-year-old Coleton R. Cahill, of Claypool, was driving a 2015 Jeep Cherokee east on S.R. 114.

With Cahill, in the front passenger seat, was 18-year-old Joselynn S. Hensley of Rochester.

Police say for an unknown reason, the Jeep went off the south side of the road before striking a tree.

Cahill and Hensley were pronounced dead at the scene by the Fulton County Coroner.

Police say at this time, neither alcohol nor narcotics are suspected of being a factor in the crash.

Authorities do believe speed to be a factor in this crash.

The teens' next of kin has been notified.
