ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A two-vehicle crash at the intersection of CR 45 and Missouri Avenue sends one person to the hospital with injuries, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

A 2012 Honda Civic was traveling northeast on Missouri Avenue, just south of CR 45. A cyclist was facing south, waiting for the light to change green.

The Honda turned southwest from Missouri Avenue, driving left of the center and allegedly hit the bike rider, according to deputies.

The Honda suffered minor front-end and passenger-side damage. The driver did not suffer any injuries.

The bicyclist suffered a head injury and was transported to the hospital for his injuries.

The driver of the Honda was issued a citation for driving left of center, deputies said.
