BRISTOL, Ind.-- At approximately 3:38 this afternoon, Elkhart County Sheriff's Office responded to a crash involving two vehicles, one of which was towing a trailer.

A 2016 Chevrolet Trax was traveling northbound on C.R. 35, just south of C.R. 4 as a 2017 Subaru Forester towing a trailer was traveling southbound.

The driver of the Trax swerved over the center line and the driver of the Forester attempted an avoidance maneuver, causing the vehicle to go off road.

The Chevrolet Trax sustained heavy front-driver side damage, and the Subaru Forester sustained damage to the rear hitch along with heavy damage to the driver-side tire of the trailer.

The driver of the Trax was transported to Elkhart General Hospital for complaints of left arm/shoulder pains.

Elkhart County Sheriff's Office is still investigating this crash.
