CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- A two-vehicle crash left one driver in the hospital after midnight Tuesday in Ontwa Township.

The crash at the intersection of US 12 and Eagle Lake Road happened around 12:15 a.m. Tuesday, according to the Cass County Sheriff's Office.

Allegedly, a driver headed south on Eagle Lake Road failed to yield to a vehicle headed west at the intersection, leading to the second vehicle's driver being unable to avoid crashing into the first.

The second driver was taken to the hospital for possible injuries.

The sheriff's office says that alcohol may have been a factor in the crash, which remains under investigation at this time.
