Two-vehicle crash sends one to hospital in Marshall County

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a two-vehicle crash near U.S. 31 and 16th Road/Marshall Street on Saturday around 2:45 p.m.

The report states a 2013 Ford SUV, driven by 78-year-old Helen G. Epley of Argos, was turning east onto Marshall Street, crossing the northbound lanes of U.S. 31.

According to authorities, Epley failed to yield to a 2020 GMC Yukon, driven by 36-year-old Kristen M. Riegseaker of Middlebury, which was heading north on U.S. 31, causing a crash to occur.

Riegseaker was taken to St. Joseph Regional Medical Center Plymouth for wrist pain.

No citations were given, and no other injuries were reported.
