Two vehicles crash after one allegedly fails to stop at light

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Two vehicles crash, causing a driver and passenger to have injuries, after one car allegedly failed to stop at a red light, according to the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash took place at the intersection of SR 15 and US Highway 20 at 1:08 am on Sunday.

A 2019 Toyota 4runner was traveling north on SR 15, turning west onto US Highway 20. A 2016 Chevrolet Cruze was traveling eastbound on US Highway 20, approaching SR 15.

The driver of the Chevrolet allegedly failed to stop at a red light, colliding into the Toyota, deputies said.

The driver of the Chevrolet had back and neck pain. One of the passengers of that car also suffered a head laceration and head pain, according to the report.

Enforcement action was taken for the driver of the Chevrolet for allegedly failing to stop at the red light, according to deputies.
