‘Understanding the Role of a Mayor’ invites residents to chat with mayor of Nappanee

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – Residents of Nappanee will have a chance to ask Mayor Phil Jenkins questions about his job during a public ZOOM discussion next month.

On April 8 at 7 p.m., Advancing Community Together in Nappanee & Wakarusa is hosting “Understanding the Role of a Mayor,” an open-to-the-public ZOOM meeting featuring Mayor Jenkins, who will talk about his role as mayor and the joys and challenges he faces while serving his community.

After his presentation, viewers will have the chance to ask Mayor Jenkins questions. The Q&A session will be moderated by former Goshen Mayor Allan Kauffman.

Mayor Jenkins became the city’s first full-time mayor in 2016.
