GOSHEN, ind. -- A Goshen non-profit is seeking community support through a unique fundraiser.
Anyone who donates a minimum of $20 to First Light Mission in Goshen will receive a handcrafted ceramic bowl, made by artists from the Goshen Clay Artists Guild.
You’re then invited to Goshen First Church on Fifth Street on March 23rd from 5-8P.M to pick up your bowl, and to enjoy a free soup supper!
With a goal of 200 bowls sold before the event, First Light Mission hopes to raise at least $4,000 towards the work it does for women and children in the community.
The non-profit provides resources and temporary housing for the homeless, serving single females or anyone with minor children.
All services are provided at no cost to the families there, so events like this help continue to make these fresh starts free for those who need it.
This is the first time the event is back full-scale since the start of the pandemic. The Director of Goshen Clay Artists Guild, Fred Driver says, “one of the last events we had, we served 700 people. We’re very glad to be involved with First Light Mission and supporting their efforts in the community.”
You can donate now by visiting the donation page on First Light Mission’s website.
