MISHAWAKA, Ind. – A fire destroyed the first floor of a building in downtown Mishawaka on Wednesday.
The fire began just after 3:40 p.m. in the 100 block of Lincolnway, where the old Smith’s Bar used to be.
The building was partially occupied but no one was injured in the fire.
More than ten crews battled the fire.
The fire was contained after about 45 minutes but crews are still on scene.
Lincolnway and Main Street are shut down.
The first floor is a complete loss, officials said. Neighboring businesses suffered smoke damage.
