University of Notre Dame elects Rev. Jenkins to fourth term as president

NOTRE DAME, Ind.—The University of Notre Dame’s Board of Trustees elected Rev. John I. Jenkins, C.S.C. on Friday to a fourth five-year term as the university’s president, the school said in a tweet.

The new term will be effective at the end of Father Jenkins’ third term, which is June 30.

Father Jenkins was elected as Notre Dame’s 17th present in 2005. He earned undergraduate and advanced degrees from Notre Dame.
