New S.R. 2 study set to focus on safety and future growth
MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- The company that owns the Forever 21 clothing stores, as well as the clothing brand by the same name, has entered into chapter 11 bankruptcy as of Monday.
According to ABC News, Forever 21 first filed for bankruptcy protection in 2019, making this their second go around in bankruptcy court.
The was acquired by a consortium of parties including Authentic Brands Group and mall owners Simon Property Group (owners of the University Park Mall in Mishawka) and Brookfield Property Partners.
The emergence and growth of 'fast fashion' warehouse sellers like Temu and Shein is believed to have contributed to the company's recent struggles.
Employees told ABC57 the store’s last day will be March 29th.
