Unknown man shoots at vehicle with children in it

EKLHART, Ind. – The Elkhart Police Department is investigating an incident involving a man shooting at a vehicle with children inside of it.

At 5 p.m. on Tuesday, an officer arrived to the area of Ren Street and Belmont Avenue for a shooting report.

At the scene, two women approached the officer and said an unknown man was shooting at them from a silver car.

One of the women said her three juvenile children were in the backseat of the vehicle at the time of the shooting.

No arrests have been made at this time.

This is an ongoing investigation.
