UPDATE: Mishawaka shooting victim recovering after crashing car

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – One Mishawaka woman continues to recover after being shot in the stomach.

Police believe Mary Patterson tried to drive herself to the hospital after a shooting at her home on Lovechio Drive Monday morning.

Neighbors of the 32-year-old told ABC57 they are fed up with late night parties at that house. Patterson lives there with her partner and her son.

Police say Patterson hit a stopped car at the intersection of Church and Lincoln Way East.

That’s when the people she hit realized she had been shot. At last check she was in stable condition at an area hospital.
