UPDATE: Murder suspect identified in stabbing death of South Bend mother

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Police are looking for 44-year-old Manuel Clemon or Manuel Scott as he is also known as after investigators found evidence linking him to Caradine's murder.

The 42-year-old mother of two, Deshone Caradine, was brutally stabbed to death several times inside her South Bend apartment off Eddy Street and Colfax Avenue early Wednesday morning.

Several detectives with the St. Joesph County Metro Homicide Unit returned from Chicago Wednesday night with Caradine's Ford Focus. Caradine's car was found abandoned in the drive-thur at a Chicago bank, along with several clues.

Investigators believe the 44-year-old man stole Caradine's Ford Focus and left it at a Chicago bank. Detectives recovered the car from the drive-up ATM at the corner of 87th and Winchester in Chicago.

Officials on scene found blood on the stirring wheel. Investigators say Clemon's checked into a motel just a few blocks away, shortly after the car was abandoned.

When investigators search the motel room they found Caradine's car keys and some bloody clothes.

Police say Clemon, who is Caradine's ex-boyfriend and the father of one of her two kids, is now considered a suspect in her murder. Clemon is believed to be armed and dangerous and is currently wanted by police for questioning.
