Update on Baycote chemical scare

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A month has passed since the Baycote chemical scare in Mishawaka and tonight we have an update on how the clean-up is going.

The EPA says the material that caused the spill is still being monitored on site.

It should be all cleaned up in about 4-weeks. Workers there are still trying to figure out how to safely remove all material.

The mayor says he will be happy once it is all over.

"When they sign off on it and say there's no longer a threat to our public threat to the side and to anybody who might be involved that's one will have a little bit of relief" says Mayor Dave Wood.

The materials are now being stored in 8 55-gallon drums.
