Update on Benton Township shooting earlier this week

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – Police have further details on a man who was shot on August 27 in Benton Township.
On August 27 officers arrived at the 100 block of Concord at the Blossom Acres Apartments at around 8:30 p.m.
The victim, Demario Gunn, 41, suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to a local hospital for treatment in critical condition, according to police.
Gunn was driving a 2008 Dodge Caliber when he was shot and witnesses called the police.
On Friday, August 30 Gunn passed away from the wounds.
An autopsy is scheduled for more details, but a suspect has not been located at this time.
