UPDATE: Police release autopsy results of woman killed in school bus crash

MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- A deadly accident happened just before 8:30 a.m. on Monday near McKinley and Elder in Mishawaka.



St. Joseph County Police were investigating how the driver of an SUV slammed into a Penn Harris Madison School Corporation school bus. Police say the woman driving the SUV crossed the center line and hit the bus, head-on.



The driver of the SUV has been identified as 51-year-old Nancy Cramer of Mishawaka, Ind. She was pronounced dead at the scene.



The driver of the bus has been identified as 54-year-old Judy Powell of Osceola, Ind. She received non-life threatening injuries in the crash, and was taken to an area hospital for treatment.



No children were on the bus at the time of the accident.



The St. Joseph County Police Department just released the autopsy results for Cramer on Wednesday. The Coroner's Office reports that the cause of death was multiple blunt force trauma as a result of the collision.



They also report that the toxicology screen was negative, and that nothing was found medically to indicate a cause for the crash.
