U.S. 20 lane closures for bridge maintenance in South Bend

The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced lane closures for those using part of the U.S. 20 bypass.

The lane closure includes the U.S. 20 Bypass bridges that cross over Ardmore Trail and State Road 2, between Lincoln Way West and Mayflower Road in South Bend on Tuesday, July 5th through the end of July.

INDOT says crews will be working to restore and maintain areas of the bridge.

During this project, traffic will be reduced to one northbound lane and one southbound lane. Drivers should expect delays and allow extra time when traveling through this area.

INDOT also warns drivers to be mindful of signs in the work zones and workers in the area as well as to obey the posted speed limits.
