U.S. 31 resurfacing begins Tuesday in Berrien County

BERRIEN COUNTY, Mich. – The Michigan Department of Transportation will be resurfacing 6.5 miles of U.S. 31 beginning Tuesday, June 1.
The resurfacing will occur between the Michigan/Indiana state line and U.S. 12 near Niles.
This $987,000 project includes crack sealing, patching, and chip sealing.
Construction is expected to last until Monday, August 30, 2021.
Drivers should expect single-lane closures on U.S. 31 during construction.
