U.S. 31 road restrictions begin

SOUTH BEND, Ind. — Road crews will be working on resurfacing and rehabbing a major road on South Bend's north side.
Road restrictions are expected to begin on U.S. 31 on the St. Joseph Valley Parkway lanes on Monday.
Lanes will be restricted between the U.S. 20 exit and the Indiana Toll Road exit.
Crews will be resurfacing U.S. 31 and restoring a bridge on Nimitz Parkway.
Throughout the summer, the Nimtz Parkway Bridge over U.S. 31 will be closed to all traffic.
Work is expected to be wrapped up by November.
