US 33 bridge in Elkhart to be closed starting Monday

Beginning early Monday morning, the US 33 bridge over the Elkhart River will be closed.
For those driving through Elkhart this week, expect to see a bit of traffic on US 6.
Crews will be shutting off that portion of US 33 between County Road 33 and County Road 44 to replace the bridge deck.
The work is expected to take up to four months but the whole project is said to be completed by early November.
