USPS announces shipping deadlines for 2016 holiday season

The U.S. Postal Service has announced the 2016 domestic and international holiday mailing and shipping deadlines.

The USPS says to ensure timely deliveries; it is recommended that customers ship their items by the following dates:
•    December 15th for USPS Retail Ground 
•    December 20th for First-Class mail
•    December 21st for Priority mail
•    December 23rd for Priority mail express

Customers who wish to mail internationally should follow the many specific deadlines provided here.

The USPS encourages customers to ship their packages early and reminds customers that packages over 13 ounces must be presented to a Postal Service employee at a retail window counter.
