MISHAWAKA, Ind. – Valentine’s Day is a day to spend with loved ones, but for those who have recently lost a loved one, the day can be difficult.
So a local funeral home is hosting a luncheon for the community on the holiday in an effort to provide a quality healing experience.
Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home is hosting the Always In My Heart Valentine Luncheon at the Riverside Terrace starting at 11:30 a.m.
“We’re coming together to support one another as we all go through our individual healing journeys,” said Lori Smith, community outreach coordinator for Chapel Hill.
The community outreach program hosts events all through the year. Smith says this event is for anyone who is experiencing Valentine’s Day for the first time without a loved one.
“When you think of Valentine’s Day you think of love and those special people in your heart,” said Smith. “We are still coming together to honor the memory of those we love and hold dear to us.”
The luncheon is free for the community. It includes a catered meal and inspirational speaker.
Everyone in attendance will also receive a small gift.
Those interested in attending the event should call Smith at 574-674-5991 to register.
