Valley RV and Camping show at Century Center
SOUTH BEND, Ind. --- If you’re in the market for a new RV for the summer, you’re just in luck! The 48th annual Valley RV and Camping show is in town at the Century Center until Sunday.
“A lot of people are looking for the next RV or their first RV so they can go out this summer and start camping here in Indiana,” says Valley RV and Camping Show Director, Matt Rose.
It may only be January, but for the RV community in Michiana, now is the perfect time to plan your summer camping trips and shop for the perfect RV to take you there.
“We have dozens of different manufacturers and types of RVs from small to large, and to fit every budget and every type of camping,” Rose says.
With over 80 different RVs to show, the annual show encourages folks to compare floorspaces and styles, as well as find the best deals all while shopping local.
“The amenities in a lot of the RVs have many of the creature comforts that you’ll find at home from indoor fireplaces to outdoor kitchens,” says Rose.
The RVs on display are the latest and greatest models, and feature what’s trending in the RV space, like toy haulers.
“We’re in the back of a toy-hauler here, these are becoming very popular,” says Steve Showalter with Showalter RVs. “We see them used for anything from just an office, to dirt bikes, to four wheelers, to golf carts.”
The show is a great opportunity to learn more about the RV lifestyle and get your hands on the perfect RV ahead of the fresh camping season.
“It’s a great place to come and get your questions answered and learn more about the RV lifestyle,” says Rose.
“A lot of people want to buy two to three months ahead of time, that way they have their unit picked out, they can get it decorated, get it loaded up and ready for the season,” Showalter explains.
The show continues until Sunday from noon- 5pm. Tickets are $10 at the door for adults, children under 15 are free.
