Van collides with South Bend school bus Monday morning

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- A South Bend Community School Corporation bus carrying at least three children was involved in a crash with a van on Monday morning.

South Bend police confirmed this occurred at the intersection of Sarah Street and Oakland Avenue.

The three children on the bus at the time were checked out on scene along with the drivers, according to police.

Nobody was taken to the hospital, and no injuries have been reported at this time.

SBCSC released the following statement:

"There were three students on board at the time of the incident. Another vehicle struck the bus, and law enforcement was contacted. No injuries were reported."
