Driver killed in train collision near Baugo Creek County Park identified

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. – A 23-year-old was killed when his vehicle was struck by a train early Wednesday morning near Baugo Creek County Park.
According to Elkhart County Deputies, the driver of a Ford F-150 drove around the railroad crossing arms near the intersection of Lincolnway East and Ash Road around 4:30 a.m. The vehicle was hit by an oncoming eastbound train.

The victim, 23-year-old Franky Reeves of Osceola, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Lincolnway was closed to traffic from Ash Road to State Road 19 for several hours. It opened just after 7:30 a.m. Wednesday.
