Veldman Family Psychology Clinic celebrates opening doors to the public
SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Veldman Family Psychology Clinic is celebrating its opening to the public, supported by the Veldman family and other benefactors.
The clinic offers innovative research, clinical trials, and evidence-based care, aiming to expand mental health access. It serves as a training ground for future mental health professionals and is strategically located for community accessibility.
The facility is intentionally located on a bus line with accessible parking and is part of a broader network of student mental health resources, including the University Counseling Center and the McDonald Center.
"Today is a very exciting day. Everyone's really proud and looking forward to welcoming the community into our space." says Director of the Veldman Family Psychology Clinic Kristin Valentino. "We've been planning for this for several years now. Sure, everybody's seen the building go up over the last two years, especially. And so today is a very exciting moment for us to be able to open our doors and welcome the community to see what we're all about and begin working together."
