Veteran firefighters retire from Mishawaka Fire Department

MISHAWAKA, Ind. – The Mishawaka Fire Department announced the retirements of Captain Brent Mishler and Lieutenant Jeff Regina in a Facebook post on Sunday. Congratulations!

Captain Mishler served the Department for 37.5 years and Lieutenant Regina served the Department for 27 years.

Their combined 64 years of dedicated service to the City of Mishawaka is much appreciated!

Both Mishler and Regina were driven home in fire trucks for their final shifts.

Nice! At Elkhart we get "The Last Supper" with your shift! It was always a practice to let those retiring go home at 7PM instead of 7AM next day. I guess that fell through for me! I didn't even get a hand shake from the department Chief. But that's OK! I put in a really good recommendation for him to get the job!
