Victim fires shots at fleeing robbery suspect

Elkhart Police were called to the Admiral Gas Station early Sunday morning to investigate a robbery.

The victim told police around 2 a.m. a male entered the store, pointed a gun at him and demanded money.

After taking money, the suspect fled the store.

The victim followed the suspect and fired a handgun at the suspect, reports said.

There is no indication the robbery suspect was shot.

The suspect is described as a man, 5'8" tall to 5'10" tall, weighing 150 to 170 pounds wearing a dark sweatshirt.

We asked Elkhart Police if the victim would face any charges and we have not yet received a response.
