Victim hospitalized after being shot with a BB gun

ELKHART, Ind. -- A person was taken to the hospital after they were shot with a BB gun during an altercation with an acquaintance, according to Elkhart Police.

Around 8 a.m. Saturday, officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Jefferson Street for reports of a shooting.

The investigation revealed the victim and another person were in a verbal argument that turned physical. The suspect then used a BB gun to shoot the victim, police said.

The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
