Victim in Friday’s shooting at the Waterford Glen Apartments passes away
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. –The St. Joseph County Coroner’s Office has informed the St. Joseph County Metro Homicide Unit that Macirra Williams, the victim of Friday's shooting, passed away on Sunday.
Williams, a 22-year-old, died as a result of apparent gunshot wounds, CMHU said.
The shooting happened Friday just before 6:45 pm at the 1200 block of Woodfield Avenue.
When officers arrived, they located Williams with a gunshot wound. A man and children were also in the home at the time.
Williams was taken to the hospital for surgery that night.
Demarice Williams, her boyfriend and father of her children, has been arrested on preliminary charges of aggravated battery, a Level 3 Felony.
Her autopsy is set to take place Kalamazoo.
