Victim robbed at gunpoint while at friend’s house on South Chapin Street

SOUTH BEND, Ind.— South Bend Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred on Friday night. 

On April 3, around 8:45 p.m., officers were sent to the 500 block of 31st Street regarding reports of an armed robbery that happened 20 minutes earlier.

The victim reported to police that while he was at a friend’s home in the 1900 block of South Chapin Street, three unknown men entered the room and robbed him at gunpoint.

No injuries were reported in the incident and the case remains under investigation.

Police have not released any information about potential suspects. 

According to police, cash, identification cards, a wallet and a phone were reported stolen.
